Buying CBD online in Europe is easy. Buying it well is harder. Prices for the same 10% oil range from under 20 to almost 50 euros, some shops publish a lab report for every batch while others publish none, and customer reviews swing from glowing to alarming. We compared 16 shops that sell to European customers so you can see the differences at a glance.

How we ranked these shops

Every score in this ranking is research-based. We have not ordered from every shop yet, so we scored what can be checked from the outside:

  • Lab reports and transparency (30%): are third-party lab reports published, per product or per batch? Is the company behind the shop clearly named?
  • Reputation (30%): customer reviews on Trustpilot and similar platforms, how many there are and whether the shop answers complaints.
  • Delivery (20%): which countries it ships to, stated delivery times, neutral packaging and return terms.
  • Price (20%): price per gram of flower and per 10 ml of oil, compared with similar shops.

Product quality itself is not scored until we test. As we order from shops, their label changes from “Research-based score” to “Tested by us”. The full method is on our How we score page.

Our top picks

CBD.fr (8.6) is the most complete shop in this list. It ships to 25 European countries in anonymised, odour-proof parcels, states a certificate of analysis for each flower and holds a 4.5 Trustpilot score from close to 1,000 reviews. Worth knowing: despite the French name it is run by an Irish company, and its site mentions both 0.3% and 0.2% THC limits.

Nordic Oil (8.5) has the best customer reputation we found: 4.9 on Trustpilot from about 2,700 reviews, a certificate of analysis linked for every product and a 30-day money-back promise. It focuses on oils, gummies and liquids, mainly for German customers, and it is not cheap.

Formula Swiss (8.3) stands out on transparency: its lab reports are searchable and matched to the product batch. It is a family producer from Switzerland that ships from EU warehouses. The catch is price, with 30 ml oils from about 70 to 130 euros.

Also worth a look

  • Enecta (8.2): an Italian oil brand with a strong review record (4.7 from about 3,950 reviews) and a fair price for an organic 10% oil, but batch lab results are not public.
  • Gardenz (8.2): a Paris shop that puts a lab analysis on every product page. It only ships within France.
  • Mama Kana (8.1) and Justbob (8.0): the budget options. Prices are among the lowest we found, but both have weaker review records, and Justbob only sends lab reports on request.

What to check before you order

  1. A lab report you can actually open. Look for a third-party certificate of analysis that matches the product, ideally the batch, and shows the CBD and THC content.
  2. The THC limit for your country. Shops state the limit they work with. Make sure it matches the rules where the parcel is delivered.
  3. Returns. Return windows range from 7 to 30 days, and most shops only accept unopened products.
  4. The company behind the shop. A named company and address in the legal notice is a good sign. Several French-branded shops are run from other countries, which is legal but worth knowing.

Frequently asked questions

Which is the best online CBD shop in Europe?

On our current research-based scores, CBD.fr comes first: it ships to 25 European countries, states a certificate of analysis for each flower and has a 4.5 Trustpilot score from close to 1,000 reviews. Nordic Oil and Formula Swiss follow, mainly for oils.

Are these shops tested by Cannactually?

Not yet. Every score in this ranking is research-based: it comes from published lab reports, company details, customer reviews, delivery and returns policies and prices. We move a shop to ‘Tested by us’ once we have ordered from it, and the label next to each score tells you which is which.

CBD products made from EU-approved hemp varieties with a THC content within the national limit can be sold in most EU countries, but the rules differ, especially for flowers and edibles. Check the law in your own country before ordering. This article is not legal advice.

Does a shop pay to be in this ranking?

No. Some shops in this list may become affiliate partners, which means we can earn a commission when you buy through our links. That never changes a score or a position. See How we score for the full method.
